Wall Panels

Wood fibre wall panels combine a decorative pre-finished surface with a lightweight fibreboard core for efficient interior renovation. Their porous structure can contribute to acoustic and thermal comfort while simplifying wall finishing in suitable dry spaces.

Our products

Nordic Fibreboards’s wall panels are pre-finished interior panels with a wood-fibreboard core, created for efficient renovation in suitable dry spaces. They provide a decorative surface while the porous core can support acoustic and thermal comfort. Compare available finishes, confirm the substrate and installation method, and request current samples and documentation before specification.

Interior Wall Panel – ISOTEX Wall

A convenient alternative to more labour-intensive wall covering methods, these re-paintable wall panels can be installed directly onto a variety of surfaces.

Category description

Wall panels for a cleaner, more predictable interior update

Interior renovation often involves several trades and drying stages: repair the surface, level it, apply a finish and wait before the room can return to use. Pre-finished wall panels combine the board and visible surface in one product, helping simplify that sequence where the existing wall is suitable for panel installation.

ISOTEX Wall uses a wood-fibre softboard core with a decorative finish. The panels are lightweight and designed for interior wall covering, making them relevant to homes, offices, schools and other suitable dry spaces. They can be considered for both full-room treatment and selected feature areas, subject to the approved installation details and local requirements.

What wood fibre adds to wall panels

The core is more than a carrier for the finish. Its porous fibre structure can absorb sound energy and reduce some hard-surface reflections, contributing to a calmer room acoustic. The material can also provide a warmer surface feel than dense mineral finishes. These are useful comfort benefits, but they should not be converted into unsupported claims that the wall panels “soundproof” a room or provide a guaranteed energy saving.

If a project has a defined acoustic target, use test data for the exact panel or a tested assembly and consider total panel coverage, joints, mounting, adjacent surfaces and room furnishings. If a wall has a defined U-value or condensation requirement, assess the full wall build-up rather than relying on the interior panel alone.

Choose the finish in the room itself

Website images are useful for narrowing the choice, but colour, texture and pattern can look different under warm, cool, directional or natural light. View the panels at a distributor or order samples before approval. Plan the panel direction and joints in relation to doors, windows, corners, sockets, radiators and other visible details, and confirm how the chosen surface should be cleaned, maintained or repainted.

Prepare the wall before installation

Inspect the substrate for moisture, leaks, mould, salts, loose finishes and movement, and correct the source of any defect before covering the wall. Ensure that the base is dry, sound and suitable for the approved fixing method, and locate hidden services before drilling or fastening.

Follow the current installation instructions for acclimatisation, cutting, fixing, joints and perimeter clearances. ISOTEX Wall is an interior finish for suitable dry spaces and should not be used to conceal unresolved building defects.
